Progress Park at Frenchman’s Bay in Pickering: Saturday, July 13, 2013. Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Darlington Provincial Park: Saturday, July 6, 2013. Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Fairy Lake in Newmarket: Sunday, July 7, 2013. Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. The Ontario Government designates two periods throughout the year as license-free, February 16-18, 2013 (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Monday) and July 6-14, 2013 (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday). During all other time periods, Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 years must purchase a valid fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.

DH is now planning to go fishing tomorrow with an uncle tomorrow as he doesn't have to worry about getting a license yet.
