Unicorns and flying pigs

Any minute now they will show up, I'm sure of it. Well you see, over the past couple of days I witnessed events that are truly mind-bending. On Sunday, I had 10...count it 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 hours of free time all to myself because my hubby took all 4 kids to their grandparents' house. Cue 2 hours at the gym, 4 hours of shopping, 2 hours for dinner out, and 2 hours walking around the neighbourhood. During my walk, I did something I've never done before, which is look through people's grey bins for the latest Smartsource, of which I found 2 (kinda sad, but still happy I actually got something). I mentioned this to my husband, thinking it was in one ear and out the other. That was Sunday night. Well, wouldn't you know it, he came home yesterday and gave me a copy of the Smartsource. I asked where he got it and he said he went to see his brother, then he gave him a ride to his gf's place, and he saw the Smartsource and asked her if he could have it. He told me me remembered when I told him about how I finally had the guts to do a recycle walk and was bummed I only got 2. Wow! And on top of that, he gave all 4 kids their baths on Sunday night after they came home from the grandparents' so I literally didn't have to do anything at all! So, yeah I'm just looking out the window from time to time, waiting for my flying pig and unicorn to show up....

We were supposed to play poker and have a night out with friends on Saturday, but nobody could watch the kids so I stayed home and he went to the poker game because we have the poker set and they didn't have anything to play with if he didn't show up, which I totally understand but I was still super bummed, even when he came home early and skipped the dinner and movies with them. So, I guess this was his way of making me feel better
