Don't bother with a snowsuit for this year. A carseat cover with blankets or a snuggle bag will be fine. Maybe get some kind of sweater or hoodie for the baby to wear in the carseat.
If you find a fabulous deal and you know the gender, definitely pick up a snowsuit in 2T, 3T, and 4T, as your little one is likely to wear each of those sizes at some point. The 12-18 month suit can be harder to gauge right now... a 2T would likely be fine for next year, unless your child has a tiny build.
I really liked the Robeez booties for the first couple of winters... they keep feet warm when riding in a stroller or being carried outside. If you find an amazing deal on boots (say $5 a pair), you'll likely be safe buying sizes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 1, 2, 3. Chances are they'll each be worn for a winter.
And hey, Aussie -- looks like you're on and have time to read that other thread if you haven't already... it contains everything you need to know. ;-)
