At RCSS today, there was a cart at the entrance with Country Harvest Bread, best before date of December 10 (tomorrow) @ $ .99.

I thought I would check the bakery aisle to find out if the same bread, with later best before dates, was also priced at $ .99. There is also an in-store 500 points offer (50 cent value) on each loaf. Plus, I had a digital points offer of 400 points for every $2.00 spent on Country Harvest Bread. I bought 2 varieties: Sunflower, Flax & Hemp and Prairie Bran, all with best before dates of December 17:

12 x Country Harvest Bread @ $ .99 = $11.88

in-store points offer = 12 x 500 = 6,000 points ($6.00 value)

digital points offer = 2,400 points ($2.40 value)

$11.88 - $6.00 (in-store points value) - $2.40 (digital points value) = $3.48 for 12 x loaves of Country Harvest Bread or 29 cents per loaf!

Today at Sobeys in Ajax ( South ) they had a sale on whole chickens!! Grabbed 5 whole birds, each of them came to just under and just over $4.00! A whole bird, amazing. ( and they were plump! ) The BB date was Dec 14th. Already cooked one up in the Air Fryer, skin all crispy, insides fall apart tender.
The freezer(s) here are just too filled to have grabbed any more of them....lol
