With fewer coupons available and many prices inching up, I'm finding it more of a challenge to get the amazing deals that used to be available but there are still some deals out there to be had. Plus, I've cut back on how often I shop and how many stores I enter. Here are a couple of deals if you're in the St. Catharines area:
At RCSS St. Catharines, the large box of Kellogg's Snack Cups is on clearance for $2.44 (reg. $8.98). They're on an end cap across from the chips/snacks section.
At the No Frills on Lake Street, frozen, unbaked Farmers Market apple pie and strawberry/rhubarb pie, large 1 kg size, are sale priced at $2.99. They're in a bunker near the bakery (breads, buns) section at the back corner of the store.
Thought I'd finished all the shopping yesterday, ( a small top up once every 4-5 days ) but no matter how filled the fridge, cupboards and freezers are, DH decides he wants to make something we NEED items for.
Argh!!!
He has a nice menu planned, so I won't gripe too much.
I hit NF for what he needed ( extra soft D'Italiano burger buns, bow tie pasta, a sweet onion and a beefsteak tomato)
Then I added some items that were on for a great sale price...case of wet cat food, pkg of yellow and green zucc's, bananas, everything bagels, and bag of sweet kale salad.
What a laugh....the final was $30.04....and after I redeemed $30.00 in points I did not have a nickel so put the 4 cents on my card!
Chef Boyardee for $1.25 at Dollar Tree.
NN fries on sale for 1.00 at No Frills. Thanks to SC I saw the flyer in time to save my 400 PCO for every bag of fries. The best part is I received the points and still have the offer :-) I love when that happens.
At No Frills, 10 Pillers pepperoni sticks at this week's $2 flyer price less 10x $1 coupons. Paid by redeeming 10k and got 6k back from two offers that stacked (200/$1 deli meat and 500/$5 Pillers meat sticks, although I did have to claim for the latter.)
RCSS Pop tarts 24 pkg $2 I scanned it twice before I went thru self checkout.
Excel gum, 60 piece bottle, reg. $3.99, clearance $0.94
Earned 300 PC Optimum points, so $0.64 after points

I love it when I manage to put something silly like $0.04 on a card cause I don't have the change. My father always gets upset when he sees that on the Mastercard (We share a CT WE MC so I can use it for autowork financing). I think one time, Bear paw crackers were on sale ($1.00), so I got 2 packs with a $1.00 and $0.50 coupon, but went to almost every store in the city to get as many as I could (2 per store X about 6 stores X 2 days), so there were a ton of $0.50 transactions from every different grocery store on the Mastercard.
