I got the butter offer multiple times this fall sometimes on both mine and dh’s card. Go in buy the butter and leave. I used to shop there a lot with points offers and sale items, big redemptions etc until I had a big stockpile of stuff that I didn’t need to go anymore. I hardly shop there now after the two points cards merged. It’s not the same anymore! But I guess they are trying to lure people in and ignore their most loyal shoppers. Strange strategy. But I was very happy getting butter for $1.99 and usually I would also get an offer 400 points was $3 or something like that so it was even cheaper.

That is exactly when we stopped shopping there as well. When you had to print the offers and they renewed on Saturday

Aside from when we get FPCs, we use dry cat food as treats for our two, bought on sale and usually with a coupon, which makes the cost waaaaaaaay less per 100g than actual treats. Even by this standard, I did especially well this week. Giant Tiger has Iams 1.59 to 3.18 kg for $9.97. To avoid making an extra store visit, I PMed this - the larger size of course - at RCSS when I was there for my ~weekly shop anyway, and used a $10 coupon received recently in the mail, NLA afaik. After that plus the tax, my OOP was $1.27 for enough to last into next year.

    Free mushrooms from Walmart.

Went to self checkout and the kid working said oh the mushrooms are not coming up the correct price so let me fix it. He told me to scan and then told me he put it in for 0! SCOP without even asking!

when I redeemed my birthday coupon at GT for an apple pie the price was $5.37, but on the receipt only $4.97 came off?
So I asked the cashier how is that free?
It was a mystery to her too, so long story short, she rang me in a full $5.37 refund on a separate receipt! So they paid me
$10.34 to walk out with a pie.....ha ha ! That is a nice start to my b'day.
