I found that if you are looking at a clearance item and you switch your preferred store that you may actually find the item cheaper at the new store. I found two items that i was going to buy a bit cheaper at another local Canadian Tire> Some stores may acctually have the item for more money

@flemeth
I didn't know they existed. That would've been a great deal.

Check your PC optimum offers:
I had a special offer of 3000pts for every box of Kelloggs Rice Krispies Squares-Homestyle. I got 6 boxes.
At NF and RCSS they are priced at $3.49, so works out to $0.49 per box after points. Had to taste one this morning...pretty good!

Last week, Loblaws gave one of our accounts this offer: FREE! NN Large White Eggs 12's OR NN Butter 454g OR PC or Blue Menu Lasagna (2/2.7kg) Limit: 1
Since we occasionally eat frozen lasagna and this is for the large size that's two hearty meals for us, this was a big improvement over the similar freebie I'd received a while back, which had a loaf of Wonder bread instead of the lasagna (I took the butter).
And even better, the same account got the same offer again for this week.

It's a deal yes, but Metro and their insane prices!
Yesterday I bought 2 x 2L cartons of 2% Natrel Filtered milk @ $5.29 each and received a 1 x 1L of Natrel 5% light coffee cream for FREE.
Normally I look for a better sale on the 2L's of milk but the free carton of cream pulled me in. Guess what Metro's shelf price was on that 1L carton of 5% ?
$5.29!! Whoa!
A 1L of a better, richer coffee cream when on sale goes for maybe $2.99 - $3.50....Metro you are crazy! No matter, by my logic I paid $3.52 for each item.....I can live with that.

there are two loblaws in my city but as you stated they are more expensive so i rarely go there, example, i have an offer for 3000 points on rotisserie chicken at loblaws, their price is $12.99 while rcss price is $9.49 but no points.
i have costco membership so i may as well go there. All three stores are within minutes of my home or my work.

I don't remember the last time I paid the regular price for anything there. I basically only go in when they have a good deal on something, and even then, mostly only if I'm also going to hit a nearby store. I probably would have made a special trip for the lasagna, but it was moot since I was going to the oriental grocery down the street, plus I did the 8k wus $20 on Pepsi/Lays offer while I was at Loblaws, granted I did pay 2/$13 for 4 cases of Pepsi instead of PMing at RCSS for $6.29.

@Arjon nice to know other loblaws allow price matching, the one i'd go to does not and stopped taking coupons due to covid. I don't want to make a fuss so i just shop elsewhere
