A zero can make a big difference in a price!
Two weeks ago, I noticed that both amazon.ca and walmart.ca had the 5-season set of Blue Bloods on sale for $16.97. It seemed like it was too good to be true but I ordered two sets from Amazon (free shipping over $25 instead of over $50 at Walmart) and they arrived yesterday.
Today, I checked the same 5-season set. The price at amazon.ca has gone back up to over $100.00. Interestingly, at walmart.ca, the price is now $106.97. http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/blue-blo.../6000194959911
Since I paid $16.97, I'm now wondering if that price (which was matched by amazon.ca) was an unintentional error. Remove the "0" from $106.97 and you get what I paid, $16.97. What a difference that little "0" makes! :smartass:
@Anna Michele - Congratulations!!!!
SPOC this morning at Walmart - Free Armstrong Cheese bar - $3.87. It rang up at 5.77.
Got a free play on my lotto ticket. And when I cashed it in, I got the plus added for a $1.00. Then when I returned my cart at RCSS, I saw that someone left their $1.00 in their cart. So I got back my $1.00 plus on my ticket! Sometimes it just the little things that make you happy.
Congrats Anna Michelle!:) Love the clothes so cute!

Hit a "Manager's Special " stickers Jackpot at my local Pharmaprix (=SDM). Got $1 x5 Lindt bear chocolates.(5 per pack) .reg. $7.99 ( exp.May,16), 2x Crispy Minies 0.50 reg.$2.79 , free PC popcorn dill pickle flavour 200g reg.$3.49 , free No Name Fruit Medley reg.$3.99, free 1x PC Apple Cinnamon Brittle and 1x PC Hickory Almond Brittle reg.$6.99, 2x $3.50 PC Jumbo Cashews with Sweet Chili reg.$8.99. Also got some milk , cottage , pickles and was awarded 8 k for spending $30 ( digital offer). My receipt says saved $69. While I'm happy with my savings, I have a rant too. On the same transacion, I wasn't allowed to get more fruit medley, popcorn, brittle because the cashier didn't want to sell them without a manager's approval saying I can't get things for free. The manager was rude like hell , rolled his eyes and said something like " Lady, we are working very hard here , you can't get free stuff " . I replied that even though he thinks there is a mistake, he has to honour the prices that are clearly marked. He refused, made a loud scene repeating the same BS over and over again. In the end , he allowed me to only get one if each UPC mentioned above. All the other items were put aside at the cash...
My husband LOVES the Maple Leaf Stuffed Chicken Breasts so I've purchased more of them in multiples of 4 (using 1 x B3G1 FREE coupon) or 8 (using 2 x B3G1 FREE coupons). Our chest freezer has a nice stockpile of these (happy husband!) and I have a nice stockpile of the sets of peelie coupons attached to each box (happy me!). And just when I think we now have enough, I get a deal too good to refuse:
At Zehrs:
6 x Maple Leaf Bacon Crisp @ $3.99 each = $23.94 (all with peelie coupons attached)
6 x Maple Leaf Stuffed Chicken Breasts = $41.94 (all with peelie coupons attached)
4 x Maple Leaf Stuffed Chicken Breasts = $27.96 - 4 x B3G1 coupons = FREE (all with peelie coupons attached)
My total for all 16 items above = $23.94 + $41.94 = $65.88
BUT . . .
I earned 300 points for every $1.00 spent on frozen boxed meat (including the boxes that were free) = 21,000 (based on $27.96 + $41.94) = $21.00 value
SO . . .
My out-of-pocket cost for all 16 boxes (6 x bacon, 10 x chicken) is $65.88 - $21.00 (points value) = $44.88
PLUS, of course . . .
16 x sets of those amazing peelie coupons!
BUT WAIT! . . .
8 of the 10 boxes of chicken breasts had 2 sets of peelie coupons (one on each side of the box!) so I ended up with a total of 16 plus an extra 8 = 24 sets of B3G1 and $17.50 (7 x $2.50) Maple Leaf/Schneiders coupons! (that's a LOT of coupons!)
Next stop:
No Frills where I bought multiple Maple Leaf Bacon and Schneiders Country Natural Bacon for $2.97 - $2.50 = 47 cents each
Metro where I bought multiple Schneiders Bologna for $2.50 - $2.50 = FREE
Esso where gas was $ .66 per litre!
Now I REALLY have all the Maple Leaf Stuffed Chicken Breasts we need . . . I think! ;)
CONGRATULATION Anna Micheal you will be busy

I just got a great deal on 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $2.10 at Domino's. They have a promotion on for $5.99 and I used my $5 off coupons that they had mailed out for our location. Mmm yummy lunch.
@ Walmart: (6) Vaseline Men's 24-hour Spray Lotion Reg. $7.97 on clearance for $4, each had $2 peelies ... so $2 each :-) ... put away for next christmas for stocking stuffers and gift baskets.
Haven't ventured out to do much shopping recently but last night my local Shoppers had a vitamin clearance bin right near the checkout, everything was marked down to $2. Picked up some Jamieson Adult Omega 3 Gummies (quantity 60, expiry April/2016). They also had B50, Calcium and a few other vitamins.
I haven't been on SC much lately but I had to come to post this crazy deal!
Went shopping at Sears this morning and they had 2 of the Kitchenaid stand mixers in Empire Red on clearance for $119.99 at the cash near kids/bedding.
I decided to break down and buy one! I've always wanted one but I'm way too frugal to pay much.
When she rang it in it came up as $101.99 (not sure why but it worked out for me!). I was able to use $10.00 in my Sears reward points (I've only had the card since November and already had enough to redeem for $10).
Regular price of the mixer was $524.99. I paid $91.99 plus tax (came to just over $100). I'm so happy! :)
Oh and I got 91 sears points for the purchase too. :)

check out if there are any rebates available on this model...
Stumbled on ziploc holiday freezer bags at RCSS .94 cents, had 2.00 coupon for every 2 pkgs plus personal offer.
6.37 total - 6.00coupons - .80 in points = +.43!!
Missed out on a pretty amazing deal at RCSS (4th and Louth)...
They had some limited edition febreeze aerosol on clearance (a lot of it too!!) that retailed for $3.99 if i'm not mistaken. But it was on this clearance rack for only $0.94/ can, but it gets better...
On smartsource, there is a coupon for $0.75 off of any febreeze product, so here's the cost...
Febreeze aerosol: $3.99 - CLEARANCE($3.05 OFF) = $0.94 ($1.06 Tax Total) - $0.75 = $0.31
A 93% SAVINGS!!!
But, I went home this last week and couldn't get down to RCSS to pick some up, I was gonna get 6 or so of them :(
Amazing deal on the kitchenaid mixer. You will love it.
