My best deal was The Body Shop 50% off coupon + 8% cash back.
I got 2 big bags from Urban Planet yesterday for $50. All of their redline clearance items were 80% off!
I bought:
-boots
-sneakers
-sweater
-denim vest
-2 belts
-wallet
-shorts
-jeans
-4 shirts
-2 pajama sets (these weren't clearance, but were buy 1 get 1 50% off)
The only downside is that their fitting rooms were closed for the day, and all redline items are final sale. Luckily everything fits me except the sweater (it was only $2 so I'll just donate it.)
Michael Kors saffiano coin purse from Bloomingdales marked down to 49 something cnd from 70.00, minus another 15% and free shipping to Canada, with duties and taxes it came to 51.06. Much nicer and cheaper than the Coach one I was going to buy.

Its called Scanning Code of Practice (SCOP). Basically its run by the Retail Council of Canada in order to make sure the prices on the shelves match the prices being scanned. Most retailers participate in the scanning accuracy...check the doors at the front of the store and also beside each cash register. Keeps retailers honest and keeps consumers safe. Essentially every item has a unique bar code (UPC). When the prices scans in wrong at the cash register (you need to be on top of this, watching, and remembering what the tag on the shelf said), you can claim SCOP. You will get the iten free (up to $10). If the item costs $12.99, you will get $10 off. If you have two identical items, the first will be free, the second will get adjusted down to the correct price. If you have 4 items, lets says Campbells soups, same product, but four different soup flavours, each with their own UPC#,..youd get all four free if they all scan wrong. Does this make any sense? LOL
Oh whoops! I went to self-checkout...I don't think the cashier had a chance to contest my coupon. I thought it was alright though. I don't have any more around to check out!
I guess I shouldn't try to go today and use the $3 pearl infusions candle coupon on the bonus pack on clearance for 3.49.....haha! ;)

A lady at my kids school said she had 3 free all day ride tickets to West Edmonton Mall that expired on Dec 29 that she was unable to use so we took the kids up there yesterday to play and shop, meet friends for lunch and then race a nasty storm home( the highway was closed about 3 hours after we decided to call it a day early and head home)! The tickets are $32.95 each and I had one extra which I gave to a lady in line in front of me. She was more than happy to accept the ticket I had been given for free and said they had just paid for somebody else's coffee at Timmies and she explained to her little boy now their good deed was being payed forward. Then today I was at No Frills and there was a box of 360 individual packets of whipped butter marked free so I put them in my cart and inquired as to how they could possibly be free. The manager told me they don't normally carry them, they have no UPC and were received in error so I could take them-so that is a bit of a long story to explain my deals of the week-free rides and free butter.
Lorax DVD/blue ray set with plush toy for 5 bucks at RCSS! Didn't think I would find any but I lucked out! Perfect for little gifts throughout the year!

Yesterday was dh's birthday. My brother invited us out for breakfast at Humpty's restaurant and paid for everyone. Nice surprise. Today I used a BOGO birthday coupon for Coldstone Creamery icecream. Paid for the one with a Tim's gc that I traded for on here in exchange for Amazon.ca codes that I earned on Swagbucks. So two free icecreams for us. Dh got his 50 free Swagbucks from his e-mail. Earlier in the month we one friend babysat LO for us for free while another friend paid for our movie tickets as his Christmas present to us. Today we got two dozen eggs for 99c each from CO-OP as part of their one day sales this week.
I think that is pretty much it. Free childcare, free movies, free breakfast, free icecream, and 99c eggs. I'm happy with that.
Walmart - Ran out of contacts so headed to my usual Walmart vision centre. They had a boxing week special where if you buy 6-month supply, you get a $25 giftcard. Bought a year's worth and will be reimbursed through my insurance and got a bonus $50 giftcard for myself.
La Senza - Two of my everyday bras finally reached the end of its life (the damn wire snapped in half). Dropped into La Senza as I noticed they had those sales bins. I actually found a bra...that fit...for 50% off!! Bought three of the same ones because, well, bra shopping is the worst so might as well stock up when you find a good fit/price.
