Ran out to Zehrs (Pen) today to pick up the flash sale for today only, ended pretty well...

Old El Paso Seasoning Packet (2): $1.00/2
/\ Shelf tag was $1.00, but rang up at $1.49, claimed SCOP and got both for $1.00 compared to $3.00
LESS: 1,000 PC Plus Guiding Star Offer
Total Cost: $3.00

(Closing in on the $20 mark with PC, I'll have those gift cards by next week and then more free groceries for me!!!)

Stopped today at Safeway for the 1st time in a long time.
Folgers 930g on sale for $6.99 (sign said $7.07 off, LOL), then used a $3 mfc. ($6.99 - $3)
Thought I would end up not using the coupon the before expiry, so happy.
Also found 4 minute steaks for $5 (1/2 price stickers).

Then to No Frills
4 x $2 for raspberries. Got 1200 points and can use the UPC.

Question: I'm noticing a few sc'ers mentioning buying gift cards at No Frills or RCSS before shopping. What's the benefit?

hit up PetSmart today with an emailed $5.00 off coupon ( no min spend!! woot! woot! ) to treat Rufus to a bag of Mother Hubbards Peanut Butter doggy treats, on sale for $5.99. ( paid .99 plus tax)
Then I saw that they PM! So scooted back out to grab my Metro flyer ( litter on for $5.99 ) AND my 2 x $2.00 off Tidy Cats litter peelies. Nice savings on the 7 kg size jug. Each jug was $3.99 plus tax.
Metro has the BOGO whole chickens on again but you have to dig through to get the cheapest ones! I paid just $6.50 each for 2 x 3.5 pound birds. ( original price was $13.00 ea) They always charge way more than I would ever pay for a whole chicken, but the BOGO works!
