We went to the US this week-end and stopped at Wegmans...
5 pounds of shredded mozzarella cheese for $12.50 US (about $16.25 Canadian @ 1.3 exchange). Also picked up a gallon of milk (equivalent to 4 litres) for $2.49. :shock:
Dairy is so much cheaper in the US!!
But Canadian milk and dairy products are hormone-free. In the US they call that "Organic" and charge huge $$$ for it. So to compare apples to apples, you have to look at US Organic milk and cheese vs. Canadian milk and cheese prices.Quote:
