A 12-pack box of Kind+ bars (the ones 25% bigger than the regular Kind bars) for $14.99, no tax, at Marshall’s On Amazon it’s $20+ ($19+ with subscribe n’ save). Was in my cart while I was debating whether or not to get it.This week Jean Coutu has them on sale 3/$5 so thought I’ll just pick up 6 = $11.50 with tax. Then happened to see the 12-pack box at Marshall’s - had walked pass the store then decided to turn around and go back to check out their snacks. So 6 extra bars for $3.49. Expiry is short - end of March, but same as the ones at JC. I’m a happy camper :)
My local Walmart had a produce display at the front of the store. The apples in this display were $0.18/lb. I submitted my receipt to websaver and received $0.50 back on my apples from websaver.ca. $4.03 for 11.44kg.
$0.18/lb for hot peppers too, but we don’t eat those.
I do not normally look at the buy 4 fresh products get 4000 pts as rarely do they line up for me. But this week, I got:
1 x Lemons 2lb $3.99 (not the best price but best I can find and we go through a lot of lemons)
2 x Asparagus 325 g bundle $1.88 (PM Food Basics)
1 x Cauliflower $1.88 (PM Food Basics)
I had only planned to buy the lemons but was super happy to some extra veggie choices for the week to come and am happy with the combo of price and points.

got an emailed offer from M&M meat shops for $5 off a min. purchase of $5 so i bought a box of chicken strips 1.36kg reg. $19.99
we have tried a lot of brands and so far their chicken strips are the best; they don't have thick coating and stringy bits.
we tried strips from costco, maple leaf, janes, wholesale. We like to have some in the freezer for the little ones for lunches.
if anyone has a favorite store bought frozen chicken strips please let me know. TIA

plus got 2 bags of milk on seniors day 8.62 or $4.31 a bag and they were almost out of 2% milk .Judging at the people a lot were seniors like me buying their milk .
Loblaws/(Co-op?) had a sale for Janes 700g chicken products $4 / box in Nov. I don't normally eat them, but that was a good price since they normally sell for $11-14 a box. I stocked up on 7 and didn't even have any freezer space. So, I left them in a garbage can outside. I just finished the last box, before the start of the thaw period last week. Whew. :)
I think that type of sale only comes once a year.

I stopped at Sobeys on my way home. We needed milk and I checked for meat deals. I struck a great find! The meat department had discount stickers on a variety of packages. $3, $2, and $1 off chicken trays. I picked up 13 small trays of chicken drum sticks and chicken thighs for $1.30/lb because they were short dated. I picked up one large tray of chicken drum sticks for $1.10/lb. Two trays of extra lean ground beef for $4.20/lb. These trays each had $10 off stickers on them. I’m going to turn the extra lean ground beef into meatballs. I’ll oven bake and freeze the meatballs for easy future meals.
edit: I also had an Air Miles offer for chicken, so I earned 15AM for the largest package of chicken that I purchased today.
@Angela273 Great find especially with the price of meat lately. Quick question if they are close to expiry date do you cook them all or freeze? if you freeze how long before you use after expiry date? Thank you
I’ll be cooking the extra lean ground beef today. All of the meat says best by Feb 22 (today). I’ll also cook one tray of chicken for tonight’s supper. The rest of the chicken is already organized and in my freezer. It’ll be good there for months. Whenever I go to use the frozen short dated meat I thaw and cook it within a day. Once cooked, the meat is good for leftovers like any other cooked meat.
