gas brag
paid 105.9 on Thursday
today they want 120.9, and I heard it may go higher
Costco was 114.9 today
I have never had such a brag so I must share. Today as I walked into RCSS (dropping the teen to work) I see them dumping the back school promo packs out into bins and everything is 44 cents each. I bought 10 boxes of Kellogg's cereal, 3 nourish bars, 2 granolas, 3 Pringles and 6 Rice Krispie treats, I also had 5 coupons for the nourish product and took advantage of the check out 51 offer on granola. Then I found the large cans of maxwell house coffee for 1.44. The coffee and nourish products will be used when the kids need food bank donations for school events. Best part DH had the spend 75.00 get 7500 points :-)
Wow, Lilo, score!!!!
I shook myself up and headed to Costco to get the $1.15 gas this afternoon. Trust me to pick this week for a little trip to Niagara Falls! Hope to sneak over to the States to mail some things to my step kids in their "If it fits, it ships" boxes.
One of the things I have to send is a brick. I could almost fly down to Florida for a weekend to deliver it at the same price as mailing it from here. I think I will stay away from Hurricane Country, though.
Shoppers
Found a Con Air flat iron on clearance for $40 down from $89.99. it rang up at $49.99, didn't realize it until after I paid. Told the cashier, she did a no receipt return so I wouldn't lose the 20x the points, and gave me SCOP, so it only cost me $33xx after taxes.
Went to a different Shoppers later with my mom and got
Wicked ear buds for $4.75
Spiderman lip smackers-0.75
Monster High Lip smackers-$0.75
Regular Lip Smackers-$0.60
4x Lindt chocolate bars-2 for $6.00 but each had a $2.00 manager sticker on it so $1.00 each
Dh needs new new footwear for work. He checked at Mark's in town, but they didn't have his size and offered to charge him an additional $17 to get them shipped from Newfoundland because no nearby provinces/stores had them. So we ordered online. This weekend has free shipping, caddle has a $10 rebate when ordered online, dh's work will reimburse up to $125 a year, and there was 75% off a pair of casual shoes for me when you buy dh's footwear, and I got a 10% off code from signing up for their newsletter. Just to clarify, I don't like shopping for clothes, shoes, purses, etc. I'm happpy to find these black shoes in my size, lady's 10.
Black casual shoes for me $44.88 - 75% off - 10% off = $11.67 including taxes
dh's footwear will basically be free after reimbursement. I still get $10 from the Caddle app, so my shoes will be less than $2.
Friday deals.
Sobeys - two Blue Friday deals. $19 in coupons, total $31.75 - $30 in Air Miles = $1.75 oop. I earned 127AM. I'll be back on Tuesday to enjoy 10% off Tuesday.
I picked up a nice pair of winter boots for twin girl for $5, from a lady on Facebook garage sale group.
I got a nice shirt for $1.75, they are having a 50% off summer sale. It has a fair bit of lace, so it could even be used in my professional wardrobe. I didn't have much time to look around as we were waiting for the parade that would pass in front of the store.
Our kids collected 2/3 a gallon of candy from the parade, in addition to mini frizbees, bouncy ball, and small beach ball. A grandma joined us, I gave her a ride. I brought her more Swiss chard and she surprised us with a small jar of grape jelly someone else had grown and given her grapes. She treated us to Tim Horton's afterwards. Dh was able to join us when he got off work, which was great.
