Free tuna and so-close-to-free shampoo today at Walmart. Gourmet Clover Leaf tuna was roll-backed to $2 at Walmart. Had 1 $1 coupon left, plus CO51 $1 = free! Got a $2.50 Herbal Essences SDM coupon in my email this week. Herbal Essences were roll-backed to $3.38 at Walmart and they took the SDM coupon and it came to $1.05 with taxes (can I say how much I love this Ad-Match policy). Then submitted for CO51 offer and got an additional $1 back, making this shampoo only $0.05!

My family was in Lancaster, Pennsylvania last week. DH and I went to a bake sale clearance at an Amish home. When I first heard about it, it sounded too good to be true but it was. This Amish family sells baked goods at a farmers' market Thursday - Saturday and whatever isn't sold by Saturday afternoon is sold at their home for $1.00 each. It doesn't matter the size or the sticker price of the product, everything is the same price: $1.00 each.

Along with about 15 other people, we waited in their basement until the van arrived (driven by an "English" person since the Amish don't drive vans). Everything was carried downstairs in large crates and placed on large tables. You are asked to wait until everything is on the tables. You can look but don't touch yet. Once everything is on the tables, the Amish vendor says, "Go ahead" and you put whatever you want into your box. We laughed our way through the process as we picked up cheesecakes, cakes, pies, cupcakes, pumpkin rolls, cinnamon bread and more. Everything has the vendor's bakery label on it as well as a list of ingredients.

Our total came to $17.00 for 17 items. The sticker prices on the baked goods added up to just over $125.00!

Everything we've tasted so far was fresh and delicious! We immediately put most of the baked goods into a freezer at the vacation home we were renting. The rest we ate while we were there. Now that we're home again, we have a yummy stash of Amish-made baked goods in our freezer to enjoy for quite a while.

The prices were unbelievable and the experience was too much fun to miss!
