I've been buying a lot of odds and ends for my new place. All very cheap!

Today I'm absolutely thrilled about acquiring two vintage Pyrex pie plates, both deep dish, but one has almost straight vertical sides. I've never seen that before! They were 10 cents each at a yard sale, but VERY yellowed and sticky and gunky. They'd probably been stuffed in the elderly lady's stove drawer for 10 years. I scrubbed at it with a bit of Barkeepers Friend and they look brand new, right off the shelf of a department store. I wish I'd taken before and after photos!

I don't think I'll ever shy away from buying old and disgusting looking stuff at garage sales again. So many people probably looked at that and passed it over because it was all gunky.

Aylmer Accent Tomatoes--24 cans, pm'd to Giant Tiger for $1 each - B2S1 coupons which expired that day - $12 for 24 cans or $.50/can. Now I'm good for lots of soups and spaghetti sauce this fall/winter. Yum!

We went to Rexall today and spent the $10 GC that dh had received yesterday buying some essentials which he found on sale. We bought a couple of cards, some milk and some cereal which was on sale. I would give more detail, but that would entail me getting up and right now I am resting a sore back.
Thanks for mentioning the Barkeepers Friend.
I bought some old Corelle dishes last week which I love and they need a little cleaning up.
They are called Thyme less Herbs. I am still looking for more, in case anyone knows of any.

Yes ma'am! It also comes in a liquid, which smells better but I prefer the powder for the best scrub. I think you should try it, I would bet it would make it look much nicer! And if it doesn't fix that problem, there are 1001 other uses around the house so it won't be money wasted!
