$5.xx. The dress was $12.99 and 50% off. Gotta love thrift stores that don't know designers!

I have started doing this as well and I get about $20-$30 a month which goes straight into my savings. It really does add up.

Fwiw, I`ve never used debit, never even had a debit card. I`ve always paid off all my credit cards in full every month except for 2 times I was late due to my own negligence. So I`ve never understood why anyone would want to use debit, especially since cashback credit cards have become common and easily available.

My usual concern is which of my credit cards to use each time I buy something since the cashback rates vary from 0.5% to 4% for purchases from different types of retailers. At another level, there's also the question of whether it's worth paying for cards that have annual fees but pay out higher cashback rates.

I just use one credit card that has zero annual fees and get 2% back on three categories of my choice and .05% on everything else. You have to be careful as some offer great rebates but for a limited time. One card is all you need. I have the rebate going straight into my savings account each month.
