Not sure where to post this but for those of us out there that use Marketplace and wonder about some of postings on there that are marked as sponsored. There is a item that is advertised there that has caught my eye as it would be a handy item for out place up north and is about half the price of what i could purchase it here but i know it is one of those too good to be true ads but thought i would ask the manufacturer just in case it was leget. This is their email back to me
Good morning
Thank you for taking the time to contact STIHL Limited. It has come to our attention that multiple non-STIHL dealer websites are advertising the GTA 26 Garden Pruner in a suspicious manner. These advertisements typically show up as dynamically generated ads on social media sites, such as Facebook, with prices ranging from about $24 to $99. Among other names, the listings have tended to refer to the product as a “battery powered wood cutter” or “mini chainsaw.”
Preliminary investigations suggest that most of these sites are registered overseas in East Asia. The sites often use our official photography and web copy while also trying to avoid uses of “STIHL” and sometimes (though not always) removing STIHL badging to avoid intellectual property infringement.
This is simply a scam that has caught on due to the popularity and limited supply of the tool. STIHL takes matters of intellectual property and fraudulent activities seriously. We are actively working on removing the content but it will take some time, especially as more sites are found.
In many cases the product that is actually being sold by these sites is similar to the item below, which is also known as a manual survival saw.
With kind regards
Darrell Snelgrove

thank you both, i never know as well, unless it's in the flyer. i think the stores should do a better job at advertising these in store offers, I'm sure more people will buy the product if they know about the additional points. i know i would, especially if it's something i can combine coupons with to make it less costly for me or to donate to the Youth shelter. A few weeks back when this was posted, I didn't get to go to RCSS and i thought the offer was gone. I will try to get there this evening if possible.

Loblaws and Optimum offer
Picked up two boxes of MiniWheats - 2 for $10.00
Had an Optimum offer for 4000 points for every 8$ spent
So paid $10 and received 4$ back in point - cost $6.00
Then the boxes of mini wheats had an offer on them if you purchase multiples of 2 and send in the store receipt you get a FPC for a Kelloggs Cereal product (not including Bran Buds). Submitted and was accepted - will get a FPC in the mail.
Cost for a box of Kelloggs at Loblaws ranges from 4-6$
So my total OOP when I get and use the coupon will be 0$ - 2$
I can live with that
Timing is everything!
