Fortinos has the Activia smoothies for $0.99

Was in the area next to a Fortinos so I bought 24 to donate. I used the Save $3WUB3 on any Activia coupon. Each coupon was deducted as $2.97 so no overage

Johnson baby wash 400ml assorted type & scent $4.39 @ RCSS. There was $1 peelie coupon on the bottle. Just in time for me as we needed more baby shampoo and bubble bath. So I bought 2 bottle and used the peelie coupons.

17x 200g Ritz cracker boxes for $0.94 each at Freshco

Saw a whole rack of 1kg packages of Smarties, but they had no price shown. So, I brought one up to check and it rang up at $11; then I noticed that the Best Before date was 22-12-06, one month earlier.

I told the cashier and asked if that meant they had to throw them out. She said that would be the case.
I asked if I could have it, since they were going to toss it. She told me that it was okay, but that they needed the box.
I said that it would be no problem for me to empty the contents into a bag. I went back and got 5kg worth of Smarties. What a shame the rest would get dumped.

Now, what the heck am I going to do with a pantry full with 11 pounds of Smarties?!

Another 3.5lb deli chub of roast chicken for $2.23/lb

I just couldn’t passed up the avocado deal at No Frills since my family used a lot of these.

PM with RCSS for $2. No Frills has buy 4 get 4000 points and I had a personal offer for 200/$1 so very cheap

4 bags avocado 4x2=8-4000(PCO flyer points)=$4.00-$1.60 (Personal points)=$2.40 for 24 avocados I will give a few away but the rest will be for us

Nice deal on avocados. I love them too but I find the ones from regular grocery stores like RCSS, NF and WM are often bad on the inside when I cut them open to the point I only buy them from Costco now - each one is perfectly ripen every time. Is there a trick to selecting avocados? I know if they are soft to the touch then they are either ripe in the store or bruised, so I would only buy firm ones.

@Purdee I don’t know any trick. When I buy them I make sure the are firm and I just leave then out to ripe . Most of the time the are good.

The bananas in a paper bag trick has never failed for me. Put the avocados and a couple of bananas in the bag, and fold to close. Two to three days is usually long enough depending how hard the avocados were at the start. Also works for peaches, pears, tomatoes, etc.

    Loblaws

    51 x NoName Tomato Paste 30.09 (.59 each) - 6.00 (6000 points for 30.00 on noname products) = 24.09 or 48 cents each

To be divided up for our house as sell as each of my kids homes

I find the same if i leave out, start checking since sometimes the all do not ripe at the same time, as they ripe i put them in the fridge and for the most part it does not go bad, however, if i leave out its the same starts to get black and lose a few.
