wamme, nice going!
Btw, did you pay tax on the granola bars? I was shocked when I bought the 6 boxes ( all individual receipts to mail in with each MIR form ) that each receipt showed tax, I thought food was non taxable?? Maybe these are not considered food??

... The coupons specifically stated that the retailer would get the tax back. They should not have been taxed.

LOL, I hope it's still " food" LOL, I have already polished off one box! They are pretty good! I can't really make a fuss that I paid tax...because I got them last week, not really realizing that they were not supposed to be redeemed yet. Just must have missed my coffee that day or something. OOOps. but yeah, I don't know why some food is taxed and not other food? Strange!

The quinoa ones for the MIR are good too. Going to get 3 more boxes and put them in my moms name and address, but I will eat them of course.

Granola Products or Cereals for breakfast = Tax free.. in fact everything for breakfast is tax free.. But, if you buy one boxe of granola bars where it is mentioned " Snack " or something like that on the package instead of breakfast = Taxable

Most food items that are pre-prepared, that you could eat while holding the wrapper, or individually packaged are taxable, as well as anything that is classified as a snack or junk food. I don't think I worded that well, but hopefully it came across okay.
Too bad the MIRs don't say we'll be reimbursed for the tax or the stamp!

What MIR is for the granola bars? I purchased the Nature Valley salty and sweet peanut bars yesterday and didn't know about any MIR. Can you please specify?
