Good morning. Woke up to some horrible news. My uncle (dad's brother) passed away this morning in Trinidad. A total shock! Is it bad to say he was my favorite uncle? My kids adored him and my daughter is just crushed. Don't know what's going on in my family at the moment. Still trying to get information as he and most of the family were in Tobago for the weekend when he passed.

Wicked stepmother didn't let me talk to my dad when I called, she said he was resting.

just got back from driving Melissa to work as she has only been there a month. We were both crying and crying and she said the universe is crying too because of the rain. We just spoke to my uncle a couple weeks ago. He told us the next time we come to Trinidad he will take us to Tobago because, in his words, it was the most beautiful place on earth.

Just could not go to work. Have a headache and I'm numb from the shock. My other uncle here is in total disbelief.

As for my cousin currently in the hospital she is showing marginal improvement, doctors are cautiously optimistic she will recover. Was not able to see her yesterday as we got there after 6 and they were changing shifts.

So I've got a death on dad's side and my cousin on life support on mom's side. Feel like cleaning the house as I didn't get much done yesterday. Am going now, can't read my words thru the tears any longer.

I'm exhausted. We had a wicked thunder and lightning storm last night. So loud!!! We were awake most of the night.... and with wicked storms, comes power outages & that made work crazy busy today.

I'm loving all these packages!! I really liked the shoebox idea.

Ya Cowgirlmama I'm so glad it arrived & a day earlier at that!

Please don't mention the dreaded S word. & hopefully not early. Hubby came home today with an opportunity to work in Edmonton for 2 months. We have decided to go for it as both his brothers live out west (1 in Edmonton & 1 in Calgary). Downside I have job watching other kids & DD has been enrolled in preschool 3 days a week starting the second week of September. In addition as its a cooperative preschool everyone has a job, mine is special program assistant which means I have to attend all sorts of planning meetings & speical event days 2 of which are in October plus 1 regular duty day. Anyways the plan is for DD & I to go out for about 10 days sometime in the middle & hopefully juggle the other stuff around. Will find out more later this week. There is also an opportunity for 2 months work in Calgary afterwards but we are going to see how this goes first! So when I figure out when I'm going to be out there I want to meet all the Edmonton area SCers (Armygirl & Cowgirlmama )
