Thread: BOGO coupon question

hi,
before i used a febreze stack with the buy one/twos etc
how it worked is i used BOGO febreze fabric refresher, and then stacked the "buy fabric, get car clip"
then since i had 3 items, used the "buy 3, get stick and refresh"
now the first time i did that, it all worked fine, save-on-foods accepted them all
but now i went back to use rest of my febreze coupons, and get told this time that because i get the 2nd bottle for free, it doesnt count as a buy, and therefore i cant use any "when you buy 2" coupons on my stack.
so, what is your opinion on this situation, do you or do you not think the "free" items counts as a buy/purchase?
(PS minibrag, used my crest , febreze, and glade stacks - spent $19 for $87 worth of stuff
on glade i only had 2 bogo, and 2 save 10 WUB 15, if you have more and do the math, you could really clean up on glade stuff, in groups of 3 candles i used the '10 WUB 15', and then the BOGO after it(the woman says she saw no reason why i couldnt do it in that order)
so candles were 5.38 each on shelf, total 36.15 after taxes for 6 of them, i spent 5.60 (DAMN YOU TAXES!)
and if you have more BOGO coupons, you could apply them to the other 2 candles, get 8 total for same price.)This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Most stores policies state coupons can not be used on free products, so they do not consider them a buy but it is really up to interpretation
