What is the difference between a like and a rep ?
am i the only one that reads a post then goes : like, rep, thumbs up
and replies like and rep for everything that is nice/smart/witty/appropriate ect. ?

I think a 'Like' is when you like the actual post.
Reps appear to be a way to just say hi, express gratitude, send a note, give a high five or a virtual slap on the butt. For the first few months on this site, I though 'Reps' were people complaining about the content of my posts, I never understood it.
