Msg to Hungry Man office:
hello! I brought the backyard bbq and I bited on something very hard inside one of the chicken steak! I quickly pull it out of my mouth and trying to figure out what that was. it was a small white color piece of hard object, kinda look like plastic, but I m not sure. That really grossed me out. I threw the rest of the food in the trash. I don't think i will be buying any of your product in the future and for the sake of your customers please improve on your QC examination before someone choks on one of these identify objects!
I usually don't buy this stuff, but I got two boxes because of the CO51 rebate. sigh....This thread is currently associated with: N/A

other than posting on SC, wich is usefull for us to know, my mom buy these for when she doesn't feel like cooking ....
did you communicate with them ?....if they are a responsible compagny, they will probably send you a pre-paid envelope to send them the 'thing' as well of the box or the part with the upc and the coding date ....etc...and they will send you a bunch of coupons or a cheque to reemburse the product and the bad experience you had.....good luckLast edited by Mia001; Wed, Aug 28th, 2013 at 10:31 PM.

Yes please tell the head office. Take the package if you still have it. Get the lot number. They'll need it to investigate if there are problems with that batch in production. They can't investigate without those numbers to trace the batch
Hopefully it is just a piece of cartilage, but still gross to have hard stuff in your food.Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

Could it have been a piece of chicken bone? It's hard to tell from the picture.

Ya, retrieval kit is to collect evidence.
I never buy Hungry-man or really any frozen dinners because of the sodium, fat, unhealthy ingredients, but now I will not for sure!
and i wouldn't want coupons for me to buy more, i'd prefer a rebate
that's just my 2 cents
sorry to hear about that!My Tradelist and Wishlist

You're supposed to be too hungry to notice the strange bits.
Abuse coupons, not people!

Most companies will be thankful if you inform them of these things.
I was eating spanakopita (the frozen ones you buy at costco) and DH bit into a piece of wood. I wrote them (they did need the production code, thankfully I still had the box) and they ended up sending me a cheque for the full amount of the product ($15) I was thoroughly impressed with their customer service, and have purchased the product again.
I don't think I've ever bought a hungry man, but I guess my point is, in a production plant, stuff is bound to go flying and end up where it's not supposed to be.... Not that it helps our appetite though. lol
Good luck with the company.Getting back into trading - see my Trade and Wish Lists (under 'About Me' tab)
