I got inspired by a friend that RAOK'd and sent me 5 brandsavers in july and I wanted to do something special so i decided to do a one month long personal couponing challenge where i would try and save $500 off pre sale shelf prices and use $200 in coupons and try and keep my costs down low. Doing this challenge for one month made some great things happen... i have been able to refill my stockpile... i got to see what is possible for me with coupons....I got to exceed my goal... and i had $137 more at the end of the month! This was not a over all grocery challenge... it was a COUPONING challenge where i didn't exceed a one year supply... after all 5000 free shampoo's does not a stockpile make!... this includes rebates and airmiles and coupons as well. I used the savings tracker to keep track of my shopping trips to stay on track. Here is what I got over the month. (values are at the bottom of the page)

    22 marcelle cosmetic products
    12 crest 3D white toothpastes
    6 oral B toothbrushes
3 X 6 packs of sponge towels paper towels

    3 X scottie's tissues

    2 X 6 packs of 710ml pepsi's
    1 kraft BBQ sauce
1 pkg of lemon pepper spice

    5 secret deodorants
    7 melitta coffee 300grms
    9 got2b haircare products
4 x 2 kgs of sugar Everyday brand
    1 cheddar cheese
1 2L of lactose free milk
    2 fabreeze air fresher sprays
1 box of 18 pack of chips
3 oil of olay body washes
    3 old spice body washes

    3 Lysol no touch pumps
10 Schick hydro razors (single pack)
1 pair of scissors (hahaha i forgot to put them back in my bag so i had to buy some!)
6 fruictis clean clear shampoo 2 in 1
    6 fruictic conditioners
    1 nutrogena face wipes
1 black diamond cheese slices 500gms
    1 dozen large eggs.
1 oil of olay bar of soap
    1 herbal essence conditioner

    Shelf cost $1124.22
    Store sales discounts $605.05
    Total coupon savings $340.56
    Cash out of pocket $192.61

I would highly recommend trying this for a month to better or tune up your couponing skills. It is amazing how much you can get done on a little budget! Now imma tired and i need a lil nap! LOL (typos don't count i am too tired to care right now LOL!)
