He's cute, but absolutely nuts. He is a lot of fun, although completely disobedient, we kind of didn't finish obedience, he was that bad/nuts. He's better that way now, but he's got the worst behaviours of pugs and beagles, or so the vet tells me, although he's great with the kids and other dogs, just doesn't listen, and eats constantly, chews things, wanders if he gets loose (hence mirco-chipped, high/secure fence, industrial strength lead), etc. But, there is just something that is endearing about him, so it makes it not as annoying ... most days. He's high energy, which works great with 5 kids!

kellyanna I think that is the beagle part we were going to get a puggle but ended up with beagle/boston and he is a HUGE PITA thank god I somewhat love him lol

I can't get over the eating. He will literally eat until he pukes and would keep going. My last dog was a doberman, who would graze, and left for a few days and was always to skinny. She was a nervous ninny, scared of her shadow. This dog, nothing phases him, except he barks at nothing, but then ignores people at the door. This guy inhales it, as you put it in the bowl :lol. We're working on a sit/stay while filling his bowl, and we're not there yet. He loses all control about food. And the 5 kids will feed him constantly. Put the food up, and they scale to get it, and then I have kibble everywhere. it's a no win. He's now on a diet . I hear pugs are stubborn, and he is definitely that.

I looked at a jack russell/beagle mix, I think they called him a juggle (?), he was nuts. Not sure if that was on purpose, but he was cute, but crazier then this guy, even at 6 weeks. I knew to back away!

I know what you mean KK7, it's a good thing they're cute and loveable....And a puppy, this was my first. My other dogs growing up and my doberman, were rescues, which we got between 1-2. A puppy, it was like having my 6th newborn...with a 2 year old. I just had her somewhat settled at night, and then we got the puppy. I was up again with a dog several times, he cried (poor thing). I actually slept with the poor thing on my chest, the first two nights (bad idea, now I know), as he just whined. Then I slept with my hand on him, in the dog bed on the floor , enxt to my bed...

That looks like our dog, although he's a beagle/Samoyed mix. He's an a$$hole though.

We got him together but he hates me and the feeling is mutual. lol. He ONLY listens to DH. He ignores me completely. Actually some times i think he goes out of his way to be a jerk to me. The only thing that stops me from kicking him to the curb is that he's good with the kids and that DH would be devastated.

I don't mind when DH is home but now that he's working away often and the dog responsibilities lie with me... Well lets just say some days I wanna pull my hair out. lol

Yup Kelly sound exactly like a pug they are hands down the worst behaved dogs on the planet. But their crazy love makes up for it. Tummy and Kimbo would eat until they exploded. I have to buy special large kibble dog food so they will chew it or they inhale it. I give them 7 pieces 3 times a day and it's gone before it hits the bowl. Tummy will throw a temper tantrum kicking his bowl around the room and snorting at us when he thinks he should be feed. I was activating Mitch's new bank card and the phone rang I put it down and walked over to get the phone in that 10 sec Kimbo grabbed it and chewed it up. They climb all over me like I'm a jungle gym. It's strange I am not a dog person at all, I got Tummy for the kids, but for some reason he just wormed his way into my heart I love him more than anything. Kimbo is Mitch's but he's got the sweetest face and tempurement on the planet. They are amazing with all the little ones around our neighbourhood.

But they are so cute! I will have to look at the large kibble, that sounds like a good idea. I get their food from the vet's , so I'lll have to see if they carry it.

awwww jody I'm sorry to hear that hope he's feeling better soon. I'll be mailing tomorrow and my package has a long way to go but hopefully it won't take too long!

It will be speeding just for us!
