From the official Crayola website... here is the information:
The CRAYOLA Canada 2013 Annual United Way Sale will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon in the main building at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds at 354 Angeline Street South. Cash only; credit and debit cards are not accepted.
I called United Way CKL and confirmed that the sale is open for teachers the day before... Friday October 18, from 4 to 7PM. I am assuming that means it is also open for people with special tickets!
Warning: BRING REUSABLE SHOPPING BAGS WITH YOU!!! They do not provide bags or anything else to hold your items while shopping!!! You will most likely need a lot of them...

Does anyone know if you can just show up Friday if you are a teacher (and show valid ID) or do you need to arrange for a special pass or something?
Pretty please with sugar on top, can you use my Swagbucks referral?

I would say be there AT LEAST by 7 AM on Saturday - if you can be there earlier, that would be even better. I can't say for sure if that will be good enough as I am a teacher and last year I went the day before only. People wait all year for this sale though so they will be there very early.

To the Toronto people going (or thinking about it): I desperately want to go!
Is anyone interested in carpooling?
I missed it last year and cried for two days!
We just invited all the boys to my son's bday party so now I imagine we will get a whole lot in return. I need a stash of presents.
I went the year before and it is AMAZING. Amazing!!
We left in the middle of the night and lined up before seven.
Please PM me. I can meet you wherever and of course help with gas.

Just an update to this. The sale has been extended to 1pm this year. It is the 25th anniversary of the sale. There will be a special kids zone as well from 10 to 2. From past experience, get there early. I've seen the line ups around the building by 715 am.
