I found a way to get one that is more then $5 and still be redeemable, All you have to do is scratch the card where the barcode is about 3-5 CM wide then if you have a barcode scanner laying around just scan it and if the upc matches the code from the pic above someone posted of a $5 card then you got a $5 card. If it is a different set of number then you got a good one =) You can also install upc scanner apps for your smart phone but not sure how well it would work.

That can void the card... it says it has to be scratched in front of the cashier.

I got one in my flyers in NS. We have to go buy some new skates for our son who starts hockey this month, so we'll be doing that and using our Canadian Tire "money" to make them even cheaper!

Mine is see through held up in normal light and tilted downward. Can clearly see a barcode and $5.
I think I will pass. Nothing I need right now for $20!

i also got the card in the mail. Meant to check to see how much it was, but I need canning jars, so I'll probably use it anyhow. This, plus whatever cdn tire money I have, will hopefully offset the cost of the jars

Now that i'm thinking about it - will they take cdn tire money to pay for the product after I have used the scratch card? They should, right?.. it's technically 'money'

Yes they let you use canadian tire money! I hope you get a great deal on your jars! I was thinking the exact same thing! I am getting low on 500mls... if i can pump up the savings with some coupons and have my daughter do the same we can get a couple more cases of jars for dirt cheap.

I live in a apartment building. I know i can get a few more scratch cards! We just don't get normal flyer delivery here... it has to come through canada post. CT scratch cards are really the only perk we get.
