I tried the Garlic variety of Maggie so Juicy tonight. I got it at Superstore, it was $2.29 (about the same price as a pack of Shake n Bake that does a couple batches of chicken). They also had rotisserie flavour and one other (don't remember which).
I used chicken thighs, which is our normal variety of chicken, removed skin, left bones in. My normal method is leave skin on, coat with seasoned bread crumbs, spritz with olive oil and bake.
It smelled terrific when it was cooking. After eating it, my verdict is, it's...OK. It comes out very moist for sure, and tastes fairly good, but it's a bit salty for my taste. I think the cooking bag makes a difference, so I might buy some of these bags in the future and try using my own mixture of spices, flour, etc. DH likes it, DS (age seven) is not impressed at all.

Fiance and I LOVE the mixed herbs one! I've used it a few times now.
We tried the rotisserie one and I hated it...no taste at all I found.

We have tried a few too, I like the mixed herb, he likes the rotisserie one
We just take chicken out of the bag and broil it to crisp the skin but the meat is really juicy

Ok, so i finally got around to using this product last night.
I had the Rotisserie chicken one, and well...Meh...it was ok.
I just didn't like the flavour and didn't find the chicken breasts to be all that tender.
I might try it again, but a different flavour and use chicken thighs instead. I think the only way i like my chicken breasts cooked is with Shake & Bake...I love that stuff!!

I've tried 2 of them. Was quite disappointed in the outcome. Could throw together my own concoction of spices off the top of my head and it would taste better IMO.

We tried the Rotissery and the Garlic favlours. We enjoyed them. Will try the other 2 flavours. Not a fan of shake and bake but it certainly was moist and will do the broiling tip too, that was missing a little. Don't forget to use your coupons on these from the insert?

lol...it's not a normal plastic bag, and anything that comes out of these bags is super tender. They're great for cooking meats. And yes, they're safe....You just have to make sure they don't come in contact with the elements.
How Are They Safe?- Oven bags are made of plastics or nylons that are heatproof up to or above the average temperatures used in ovens. Most oven bags sold in stores are FDA approved, meaning they don't contain BPA or other dangerous chemicals and won't release chemicals or toxins into your food when heated. While oven bags are safe for use in ovens, they must be used according to certain guidelines in order for those safety measures to be effective. Read all manufacturer instructions and warnings before use, as some specifications vary by brand.
