    For anyone like me who wondered when the movie (based on Star Blazers, you 1980s anime fans!) would come to the big screens in North America-November 11 is the day. The movie had been released in Japan in December 2011 and when it went to DVD, it was in Blue-ray format only for Asia.

    Check your Cineplex theatre listings for showtimes. You cannot use Cineplex Admit One passes from Stouffers as the admission costs more than regular admission. I asked yesterday at my local cinema.

    All this came about on Monday when I was thinking to use up my pass from Stouffers Reward this month and the only current movie of interest was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Then I looked at upcoming movies and found the sci-fi gem was coming next month. I had wanted to see Austenland but it never came to my local cinema.

    The only local information is through Cineplex.ca. I happened to find the North American movie release news through an anime website. I do wonder how there is no major news about it but I think the battleship's name plus the day the movie is playing might be behind the lack of publicity.

    Brother got tickets for the movie! Takuya Kimura will break hearts on the big screen-nice diversion, though!
