I decided I really have to have another account to 'set aside' the money that I think I am saving. My TXFSA accounts are full - so I have to use a different method of saving. At one point - I thought I saw a promo offer for one of the online banks - where a referrer would receive $ and so would the referree. Are there any of those still around?

ING does. If you open an account with ING Direct as a new client and your initial deposit is $100.00 or more and you use an ING Orange Key during the account opening process, both you and your referrer will get a bonus of $25.00. Please feel free to use my Orange Key in my signature below
Also if you opening an ING Thrive chequing account and move you payroll direct deposit over to it you will receive an additional bonus of $100.00.Last edited by y2ktrent; Wed, Sep 18th, 2013 at 03:27 PM.

Thank you!! Doing it as we speak. Unfortunately, I am self employed - so a payroll direct deposit really never happens in my world

Really? $100 if I get my direct deposit to go into the ING account? That is pretty awesome, I could do that! I am going to look into it right now.
