We need to update the deals for this thread.

Spotted one without details except for date on a current flyer. Goodness Me stores will start offering a first Wednesday of the month senior's discount-see in-store for details. Facebook post shows top part of the current flyer in the image.

This is a seniors discount I was just introduced to this year:
casino buffet discount days--starting age can vary from 55 to 65.
Most American casinos have one or two days a week where they often offer the buffet at half price. Most casinos will require you get a 'players card' --they are free and you confirm your age with your drivers licence. A local casino (40 minutes away) offers Monday and Wedsnesday seniors discount-- all you can eat buffet at $6.00--includes unlimited beverages and just an amazing amount of food choices. Such a nice treat, and at $6.00, I can afford it once and awhile.

As long as the room is booked in the seniors name, and they are there at check-in. My friends often travelled with their elderly mom--they always booked under seniors rate.

I recently had a key birthday and I thought I would review some of the the Seniors discounts we have nowadays. I thought that Shwa Girls post would also be a great point of reference. I'm not sure how or if we can update the front page but I would appreciate input from others who are aware of discounts.

Value Village-30% off Tuesdays for seniors

GO Transit fares-the 55% off fares for seniors applies only if they use the PRESTO electronic fare card.

Cash (ticket machines only) or station agent fares (electronic payments) are still 50% off adult tickets for seniors. Buses stopped taking cash for fare payments last year. I just did a one-way trip ticket calculation-yes, to 50% off senior fares with other tender (not Presto).
    --------------------------------------------------

M&M Food Market-the senior's discount is online only? Wow, the chain must want more orders that way. Offer used to apply in-store and online.

HBC-I hadn't realized that the age drop to 55 for senior's discount was tied to one's HBC Reward membership and an e-mail address. Must have been a way to tighten eligibility and make loyalty customers a priority. The previous 60+ bracket was open to all senior shoppers (HBC Rewards not required). Now I have a question-Mom's Rewards card is linked to her no longer valid HBC Mastercard. How does she get her points card separated from the credit card? I have to ask if she still has the grey card for the program.

NEXT SENIOR'S Day at HBC or online-Tues. Nov. 2 (soon)
