I have a funny story. I used to work for a flight simulator company. During the ice storm, the company let employees stay home with pay. They set up an entire area with curtained cubicles, matresses, the whole works for employees who had no power. Enough space for families and pets too, lol. There are shower areas, hot meals at the cafeteria, and movies. Separate game area for kids. So I worked with this guy and he had no power at his apartment. He stayed there and went back home during the daytime to check his place to make sure everything is ok. When he found out that his power is back on, he stayed there an extra day because he had so much fun with the other families. It's like camping indoors, lol

We lost power for about two days at home, and maybe two days at work.
I was working at a coffee shop at the time. I remember we put all the milk from the fridges outside in the cold to keep it from going bad.

I had power the whole time Where I lived in Montreal at the time, our electrical wires were underground so they weren't affected! We did have 20+ people living with us though lol. It was actually fun.

At our house we lost power 2 weeks or more, after we head up to my uncle house who have some and after no,we headed up to Sherbrooke at my mother sister house,no school and my cousine had school it was strange,I remember had a big crisis because the neighbours of a next sector had power on their line and not us,it was in Drummondville,I was 13 years old at the time,we had to go to a community center a fews days and night, fun but also a nightmare.. And my cat was pregnant we had just rescued her so I wanted her everywhere with me and heat to make sure she was ok

No power for a whole 3 weeks. "Camped" at my MIL, in her 4 1/2. 3 adults, one toddler and DS who was teething. What a nightmare.
