I am still trying to figure out the logistics so I can come :( Hubby is on shutdown and isn't home until 6:05- so the earliest I could be there (without a sitter) is close to 7... Can I come late? Or are you eating and running?
Fiction mostly- Contemporary Romance (Debbie Maycomber, Susan Mallery, Susan Wiggs, etc), courtroom drama, James Patterson, Stuart Woods, etc... I occasionally read Harlequin- LOVE Christmas stories, stories with babies... Just not Inspirational, Vampire or Historical.
I saw a book at Wal-Mart- On Strike for Christmas that looked really good :)
Crime/Mystery/Horror for me on the books - I have lots and lots to read though (thanks gwennad)
Good afternoon ladies!
i missed a few things the last two days or so I think...
I'll try and catch up today.
Peanuts 3rd birthday tomorrow, so I'm getting stuff ready for that today. Plus hubby is actually home for once, so I'm making him have some quality kiddo time while I sew, and catch up on here.
I got her a leap pad 2, explorer. Which was on sale at wm for like $74 I believe during their anniversary sale.
im just getting it all ready and getting the software downloaded from my ancient laptop. It is literally taking FOREVER!
So I think I'm almost done shopping! Also stopped to pick up some cat food and found these little catnip puff ball things at petsmart, I think I saw them on some train or other. I didn't even get a chance to take them out of the bag before Joshua had dragged them out of the bag lol. Snickers likes them too so that was a good find :) And the dog seems to be leaving them alone which is a bonus. He often eats their little toys :(

What's everyone up to today ?
Did some shopping. Should do some stuff around the house. I have no job and my baby's in day care full time and I do NOTHING all day. I have zero motivation. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I was born to be rich and have 'help' that cleans my house for me. i.e. I HATE housework.
I'm going to send out buddies for my Halloween coupon exchange and then either take a nap, or do some laundry. I guess I COULD throw the laundry in and THEN take my nap. Alexa slept pretty horribly last night again and we're both still fighting off this cold/cough thing and then this morning there was an epic diaper explosion. Moms can imagine/relate. Non-moms, I won't disgust you with the details. Let's just say that I'm contemplating whether or not to just throw out the jammies/bedding or to tackle it with gloves, a bottle of bleach and a 10 foot pole.
Cleaned all morning and started on steaming/freezing a tonne of broccoli and cauliflower. It's absolutely gorgeous here today; not a cloud in the sky. I'll be heading out with the dogs shortly. I'm hoping to have enough time to get a bunch of baking done this afternoon too...blueberry muffins, black bean brownies, and oatmeal cookies are on the list before I have to start with supper. I'm seriously considering going back to work...I mistakingly thought staying at home involved a little more relaxation time :P.
Just read what you wrote, Pammie. I came to the same conclusion as you a long time ago but it just wasn't happening, lol.
