lack of manners - would it kill some people to say "please" or "thank you"?

It drives me crazy when people talk over one another. Please be considerate and wait until the other person is finished.

There are many ways people do not treat each other well. The thing that upsets me the most are the people who do nothing and allow bad people to get worse. What is that saying... The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men (or women) to do nothing.
My parents always taught me there is a time and a place but people only treat you badly if you allow them to do so.Swagbucks, Earn 30 - $50 a month in surveys plus cash backs on your spending. I despise bullying, from children to adults.I think the school system does an atrocious job of monitoring and dealing with bullies.
Also a general lack of kindness in this day and age makes me sick, I try to be aware of people around me and always look for someone who looks like they need a smile or assistance.Try it folks, it will make you feel fantastic all day, and takes much less effort than being wrapped up in your own selfish needs!!

I find that there are a lot of people out there that have all of their priorities mixed up and do things because they lack the insight to see the world as a whole. They look at it from one angle, their own, and do not think about the consequences of their actions or how they will hurt others in the process.
THAT REALLY BOTHERS ME. Selfishness.
I have on more than one occasion discovered someones true colours and intentionally done things to "help them back along their path".
They may not like me for it in the end, but that is fine. They learned something and generally are better people for the experience, which is all one can hope for.
Life is seldom as bad as we make it out to be, and we should be thankful for what we have. I am thankful everyday.Love like crazy everyday and smile.

Where to begin.
In general, living in the city - I find most people lack manners. I can`t tell you how many times a door has been let go in my face while I`m struggling to carry groceries, coffee etc.
And I always shout out a sarcastic OH THANKS! And most people just look at you like
Teenagers. Ugh. I live near a grocery store and high school where kids often lurk around at lunch. I can`t tell you how many conversations I`ve over heard that just makes you raise a brow.
Where they hear this stuff.. blows my mind. Its raunchy humor. I wouldn`t say it at 23 let alone 16.
Society as a whole I feel is just going to $h!t.

Not enough kindness - and then that encompasses so many of the other things posters have mentioned already.

The lack of respect, especially from a lot of teenagers...

I agree that manners is #1
Also wish people treated each others well based on character, not looks. It bothers me when my co-workers tip 'Hot' babes very well, and treat the sweet lady who isn't as blessed in her exterior environment lesser.

Well said Vesper, It is a sad truth about appearances, I can't believe people are of that mindset. Don't get me started on manners, I was at a wedding on the weekend and about 5 big tables kept talking when the Bride and Groom were introduced, are you kidding me,Zip your lip and acknowledge their special day, being who I am I discreetly went to each table and whispered to them nicely to be quiet because no one could hear the bride and groom talking because of their lack of manners.I hate wedding speeches as much as the next guy but it isn't too hard to be quiet for the 10 minutes it takes. Jeesh!

When, in 2013, a teen boy is a better "man" than his father. Can you imagine a grown man stealing from a senior citizen female?! At a cemetery!? Where the woman lost her husband two weeks ago?!
Gonna end on a happy note --- the teen boy tried to make amends for his father's theft, by trying to give the money back!! So, there is hope for the future....

Lack of respect, and like Natalka said, that encompasses a lot!
one word about teenagers: when I was young, we seemed to have places to go that weren't malls. There were dances...roller-rinks...oh I know they probably won't go roller skating, but I do feel that there is a lack of places that are safe and fun to go and socialize. I don't have any answers....just thoughts...
And, before I step off this soap-box: tv shows today, filled with conflict and outrageous behaviour isn't helping anyone!
Okey-dokey....stepping off, now......
