my favorite go to meal, when there is nothing left in the fridge and you're too cheap to buy something to eat is ... toast with peanut butter and jam with fried or scrambled eggs.
What emergancy foods do you have in hand, when there's nothing to eat... especially after hours.This thread is currently associated with: N/A

A bowl of cereal with milk
I mix some "healthy" cereal with the "fun" cereal.
So, a little All Bran with a little Honey Nut Cheerios and a little Honey Bunches of Oats.
I mix some vanilla soy milk with some skim milk.
Tastes great.

I stock up on cans of tuna when on sale. Easy to whip up a tuna sandwich for a quick snack.

Day old fried rice with scrambled eggs and soy sauce mixed all in.
Lately... tomato sandwiches and salads from my garden.
Seriously it makes the world of a difference to have one.

odd but I'll usually open a can of chickpeas, mash them & season them to have a bowl or a sandwich of what much resembles tuna... I swear it does!
