I have a real major craving for apple pie! I'm going to stalk no frills for their huge bags of "going bad" apples they clear out for .97 since they are perfect for baking (just cut out the few bad spots and good as new). Hopefully I will make a killer apple pie soon! Oh and of course thanksgiving I will be making pumpkin pie I do need some more slow cooker recipes though if people have them to share. I generally just make homemade soup and chili since I'm not a huge meat fan.

I made an AMAZING apple crumble pie.

I had to go to work so my family got to bake it and eat it first. It was REALLY good though, 110% better than any store bought pie EVER.

By accident, I also made that goopy stuff that's in mcdonalds pies. Once I removed the apples from cooking down, I saved the liquid and sugar, added more sugar and cooked that way down and added butter and milk. Drizzled that over the top. HEAVEN. I was going for caramel but what I got was just as good.

Also made that and will be making it again and again. HALF the calories of a pumpkin pie and I like the filling best anyway. I do not miss the crust.

^^^ I would not be able to eat that pumpkin pie. The edge of the crust is always my favourite part
