I bought some of this cheese today, as Superstore has it on for $4.48 and there's a coupon zone coupon for save $2 WUB 2 (which I had to go to the customer service desk and ask for, since there was none on the coupon zone board, but that's another story!).
The Jalapeno flavour is smaller than the regular cheddar, 400 grams vs. 500, which is mildly annoying. But I like hot and spicy things, so I went ahead and bought some.
What a disappointment! This stuff isn't hot, it's not even warm! There are some additional spices in it (including extra salt I think), so it doesn't taste the same as regular cheddar. But I certainly can't taste anything that would make me think it has jalapeno flavour. Won't bother with it again! This thread is currently associated with: Real Canadian Superstore RCSS

I have an FPC for it and I haven't been able to find it anywhere! Disappointed to hear that you can't taste the jalapeno. How are the spices in it? Does it at least taste good?

It does not taste bad, we'll still eat it for sure, but it's not hot or even warm like I hoped it would be.

I also hated this cheese. Blandorama!! The blandest cheddar I have ever had. Blander than mozzarella
I like that the spice isn't hot. I don't like the feeling of my mouth on fire and do enjoy Jalapeno Havarti for this reason, but the cheddar cheese itself is just awfulApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). I have never liked Kraft cheese at all, and I just tried this today because I got the samplicious deal. As I expected, it pretty much sucks lol. You're right, it's not hot at all. The shredded Habanero cheese is much better than this! I'll stick with Black Diamond cheese blocks and my gigantic jar of jalapenos from the wholesale club!

I agree, wasn't hot and the cheese was not very good either. Tasted very bland.

When I saw the word jalapeno on the label, I assumed that meant hot.

I added it to an omelette this morning and couldn't even taste it.
