I also didn't think of this...
or else would have bought gas cards etc. and even gifts.

Wish I'd known. Good to know for the future though, I'm sure we'll see more GC WUB a certain amount for the holiday season.
Good to hear they have starbucks. I might get my sister a Starbucks card for Christmas if this deal comes around again.

Thanks to Anne's post I was able to take advantage of the offer. It was my 1st weekend of Target shopping since they came to Canada and with the promo and separating my orders I was able to get a total of 85.00 in target gift cards. I bought 4x 50 Starbucks and 2x 50 LCBO. This will keep DH and I in Starbucks until spring and LCBO until Halloween

It's automatic at the cash, it isn't at their discretion. You just can't buy Target gift cards for the promo.
