I thought I would start a new weekly thing that would help you get stuff really cheap or FREE by using your optimum points and then gaining them back!
()= With Tax Included
Aveeno Shampoo - $1.11 Each
18x Aveeno Shampoo: $5.99 - $2.50 Coupon = $62.82 ($76.86) Before Coupons: $107.82
Total: $62.82 ($76.86) - $30.00 (22,000 Optimum Points) = $32.82 ($46.86)
Bonus Points = 9,000
Spend $75 Points = 18,500
Total Points = 27,500
Points Redeemed = 22,000
Points Earned = 5,500 (Worth $12.73 on Bonus Redemption Day!)
So with the value of the points left over factored in your total spent would be... $20.09 ($34.13)

Clean and Clear Body Wash - $0.02 Each Or $0.53 Each (And earn $1.10 worth of points)
Option #1:
22x Clean and Clear: $3.99-$3.00 Coupon = $21.78 ($33.22) Before Coupons: $87.78
Total: $21.78 ($33.22) - $10.00 (8,000 Optimum Points) = $11.78 ($23.23)
Spend $75 Points= 18,500
Total Points = 18,500
Points Redeemed = 8,000
Points Earned = 10,500 (Worth $24.30 on Bonus Redemption Day!)
So with the value of the points left over factored in your total spent would be...
-$12.52(That's right! You get paid to shop!)
Option #2:
31x Clean and Clear: $3.99-$3.00 Coupon = $30.69 ($46.81) Before Coupons: $123.69
Total: $30.69 ($46.81) - $30.00 (22,000 Optimum Points) = $0.69 ($16.81)
Spend $75 Points= 18,500
Total Points = 18,500

Thanks for the break down.
Just wondering, is there a reason why you have large quanties? Is this to get to the $75 min?

Yes the $75 must be after redemptions so since I'm using the $30 point level so you really have to get $105 worth of products. I'm thinking of doing a break down for the $10 point level since it is a lot to buy in one shopping trip. But each week the point levels will be different because of the promotions.

Great idea! Just remember that if you do the math this way, when you redeem, you will be gaining your money back, not getting free stuff. Don't want to double count!
Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

Great idea for a thread! The store nearest me has gone psycho over coupon usage. They have a limit of 4 like coupons per customer per day. I wouldn't buy a ton of the same item in one day but maybe there's a way to spread it out to get a bunch of body wash, and a bunch of shampoo or something. haven't taken the time or brainpower to figure it out yet.

No I mean you're counting all the bonus points you're getting as discounts towards the same items you're buying. Which is fine, I do it sometimes. But if you're doing that, those points have already been used in your calculations toward these products only. If you try to cash the points later, those points have already been "used" in this math and you won't be gaining free merchandise. Just physically receiving the money you've already counted as savings
