Excited!! I doubt I'll be able to get away this weekend to go do some shopping but plan to at least online shop for my buddy this weekend.

A little update (with pics!) for those who followed my story in previous trains:

Mason had his first surgery (cleft lip and nose repair) two weeks ago today!! We were only in the hospital for one night. It was SOOOOO incredibly sad to see him when he woke up from surgery....he had the weakest little cry, it broke my heart and of course I bawled like a baby. But he did well, didn't seem to be in too much pain (he was on Advil & Tylenol consistently) and was able to feed by that afternoon. BC Children's Hospital was amazing, had some clowns come sing to him and blow bubbles. The staff and his surgeon were awesome.

Anyways, we brought him home the next day and he has recovered really quickly! It's SO weird already to me to look back at his before pictures to what he looks like now. His scar will get better over time. His nose looks SO much better.......may or may not need work in the future, we will have to see. His palate surgery is scheduled for April when he is 9 months old, so at least we have six months to just relax and no more doctor visits for awhile!

It is AMAZING Meshell. I know what your going through. I had a nephew born with the same thing. Hes 3 now and if I didn't tell u this u wouldn't know it when u look at him these days! He had a cleft pallet as well and you'd never know it

He is adorable, MeShell!!

We have had a ton of kids. I bought enough candy for two hundred and I am crossing my fingers that I don't run out. My 17 year old DD is dressed as a banana and handing out candy. I had surgery yesterday and I am not mobile. My German Shepard is dressed as a glow in the dark skeleton and helping hand out candy. He loves little ones!
