HUGEEEEE NEWS FOR WALMART SHOPPERS ~ Policy update

I find Walmart is awful for not letting their staff know what is going on. I called and they said yes so couple days later I go over to do it. I know the cashier and she has been there for years and first thing she told me was she can't price match using the phone. She went to customer service and asked and came back and said ok. Then when I showed her the flyer she said it had to be local and again off she goes to customer service and came back saying ok.

I don't understand how they could not let their cashiers know. This one has been there for at least 10 years, I'd say. I could see it very easy that whoever answers the phone at customer service would also have no idea about the change. The staff and cashiers should be the first ones to be told since they are the ones that need to do it.

Our WM has been on board for a week now but yesterday I was into the store twice.(a 2 min. drive away) The second time I was told by the cashier that they do NOT PM all across Canada. Head cashier was called over and she said, "Did you not read the communication book?" The cashier replied, "I guess I didn't" and looked pretty embarrassed!

I am curious to see if you get a different answer than I did - since that seems to happen so often with Walmarts. My Walmarts are New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and Truro, Nova Scotia. They are both the only Walmarts in each of those towns.

Truro: We do price matching to any store in Canada. As long as you bring a file that is not expired and has name on it with the date and the price. We are open today until 8pm. Have a great day!

New Glasgow: Unfortunately, we do price matching only locally, and it's not possible to price match at any store in Canada. Sorry about that.

Gah!!! Why is my most local store being so difficult? I am going to have to drive to Truro to pricematch the really good deals. That's so stupid! What avenue did you request these responses through?

Which Nova Scotia Walmart? I am starting a list of which Walmarts are doing this in Nova Scotia and PEI, and I going to approach my Walmart again later and ask why the heck they are not doing what the other Walmarts are doing.

Went to Airdrie Walmart today, and they said no way!! At best they may do the province but never nationwide... "prices vary too much across the country for us to ever do that" is what they told me...

Wish Walmart would come out with something conclusive!
