Nope, not sweet.
I just use a brick of cream cheese, softened, about 3-4 cups of shredded old or sharp cheese, (I usually have a hard time finding sharp cheese that isn't way overpriced) a couple squirts of Worcestershire sauce, a tbsp or so of chopped sweet onion, tbsp or so of red pepper and a tsp of whatever spices I have in my pantry that will enhance the flavour. (lately it's been cheese ball spices from Epicure) Mix it all together and form a ball (It should be about the size of a small grapefruit. Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours and then serve with crackers. the longer is sits in the fridge the better it tastes. My daughter asks me to make one for her every year. She takes it to work and they gobble it up. So good.
