I hope we don't lose the privilege to PM nationally. It has saved my family a lot of money on personal items and cleaning items. I haven't worked up the courage to try pm'ing produce or meat yet though and this makes me wonder if I should even try.
I find it sad that a few people being greedy can ruin a good thing for all. I will be fine if Walmart won't allow pm'ing on the meat as long as they still allow it on other things.
Stay warm all...looks like Winterpeg might be warming up finally.

Hopefully Edmonton WM's just put a pause on it just scare people into using their heads.
And IMO, it all comes down to the cashiers and CSM's. If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Price Matching final decisions all come down to local management, and if a CSM or Manager decides that what I'm buying seems suspicious (ie. fake flyer, misprint, invalid coupons), then it is their right to refuse the sale. I certainly wouldn't want to argue with them over it, when I'm coming out on top with so many other deals.

I contacted Walmart and they emailed me back:
"We are currently working on price matching to become Nationwide, but at the moment is it not effective.
Thank you"

I went to a walmart a few days ago and there were pork side ribs and lots of them.... they are not the same thing as the back ribs that were mis printed. For once I am glad so many Calgary WM's are behind.

Swagbucks, Earn 30 - $50 a month in surveys plus cash backs on your spending. You have to work at it, but it is WORTH it and it can help you buy some Christmas presents for free with Amazon gift cards or paypal payments. Referral link http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/cheekysaver

This is an update on my original post. This is from a CSM at Walmart in Edmonton and she said this on the facebook feed this morning:
Hey all, just got home from work. Checked the computer and spoke to my Store Manager. No changes at all. Admatching across Canada is still a go. However we do reserve the right to limit products sold to individuals. This is a policy most retailers adhere to. For those of you having issues, I suggest you speak directly with your own Store Manager. Or with Head Office. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.
So looks like everything will be fine. That's great news for all.

Hello
I just called Walmart Canada and they said they only price match regionally(i.e you can’t pricematch an item from an Atlantic Superstore in Ontario). I live in Ontario, and that is why I’m confused about this topic!

Our WM flyer has their admatching policy printed on it...it says local ad matching only (in alot more words).
Go and have a look at your flyer and see if it says anything.

In Winnipeg we have been able to price match nationally for the last couple of months.
I haven't been there at all this week, so I'm not sure if they opted not to do it because of losing money on the meat and produce.
I am aware of what the flyers state on the back, and that is because for now it is left up to store discretion if they participate in national price matching.
