Can't thank you enough for starting this thread! I do have a question though. When I pmed the Yuan Ming Supermarket flyer this am I discovered something odd. This is how my receipt read:
    grapes sless 0.700 kg @ 0.99/kg 0.69
    1.395 kg at 2.14 kg 2.99
    lowest price 0.39 kg 0.54

    oranges sless 000000004388k
    1.395 kg @0.39/kg 0.54

So I paid .69 for a bag of grapes and .54 for 6 oranges. Did the head cashier mess it up? Don't think she knows what she is doing. A few days ago I paid 53 cents for 6 bananas also. Not complaining though!

She did mess up, if the price is in lbs X by 2.21 to get the Kg price.... and we always round up the price to the penny. As this is what the tills have to have entered when competitor matching... so it should have been $2.18 /kg . Just let them know that if you display an ad in lb price they need to enter it as kg for the match... I used to calculate this at home lots of times... I find lots of stores now have conversion charts to convert lb to kg

i usually find another ad that shows the price
    99c/lb =2.18 kg
    1 lb = 0.453592 kg

here's a chart to get you started

    0.39c/lb = 0.86c/kg
    0.55c/lb = $1.21/kg
    0.79c/lb = $1.49/kg
    0.88c/lb = $1.94/kg
    0.99c/lb = $2.18/kg
    $1.00/lb = $2.20/kg
    $1.29/lb = $2.84/kg
    $1.49/lb = $3.28/kg
    $1.55/lb = $3.42/kg
    $1.69/lb = $3.73/kg
    $1.88/lb = $4.14/kg
    $1.97/lb = $4.34/kg
    $1.98/lb = $4.37/kg
    $1.99/lb = $4.39/kg
    $2.49/lb = $5.49/kg
    $2.88/lb = $6.35/kg
    $2.97/lb = $6.55/kg
    $2.98/lb = $6.57/kg
    $2.99/lb = $6.59/kg
    $3.00/lb = $6.61/kg
    $3.48/lb = $7.67/kg
    $3.98/lb = $8.77/kg
    $3.99/lb = $8.80/kg
    $4.49/lb = $9.90/kg
    $4.88/lb = $10.76/kg
    $4.99/lb = $11.00/kg
    $5.49/lb = $12.10/kg
    $5.99/lb = $13.21/kg
    $6.99/lb = $15.41/kg
    $7.99/lb = $17.61/kg
    $8.99/lb = $19.82/kg
    $9.99/lb = $22.02/kg
    $10.99/lb = $24.23/kg
    $12.99/lb = $28.64/kg
    $13.99/lb = $30.84/kg
    $14.99/lb = $33.10/kg
    $15.99/lb = $35.25/kg

Thanks Anna Michele. You would think a head cashier would know how to convert.

2013 - I'd think the register program itself could convert weights automatically.

    Ideas for organizing thread -

    1. List all commonly purchased items in their departments in the PRODUCT column. All one million items do not need to be listed today - just continue to add products weekly as sales happen.

    2. If there is an advertised sale price on BD Cheese, add the PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV info to the chart. Link FLYER so that we can print it for price matching.

    3. If someone finds a better advertised price for the identical product and sales date, their flyer KNOCKS OUT the original one.

    4. If someone finds a better advertised price for the identical product with a different sales date, their flyer is added beneath the original one.

    5. If an advertised sale price is not found for a product, the PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV columns remain empty.

    6. When sale ends delete its PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV info from the chart. Never delete PRODUCT / SIZE info from the chart

Dariusz, when you print the flyer to compete at Walmart, do you have to print the entire flyer page by page? Or just the one page in question? I'm guessing the single page won't have the expiry date on it
