Thanks cinpow for noticing all the deals at Best Value. I see 21 pomegranates in my future.(maybe with overage) Our family loves these. Anyone know how long they will keep in the fridge?

I checked with 2 Walmarts in Brampton and they said they only price match local flyers and that too not produce.

Is anyone having success price matching with this new policy? I called my local Walmart and they said they will only price match local flyers. Then I called Walmart Head Office and she said that it was only local flyers. She said that the memo going around on the internet is false. Can anyone shed some light on this? I would really like to price match any flyer in Canada!

Also, someone asked this question on Facebook and their response was....

Twp CSMs at my store verbally confirmed when I was shopping yesterday. I asked if there is a new policy online or anything, and they said no, just a recent memo in their internal communications. I took down both of their names though so I can call ahead to see if they are there for future such shopping trips.

Thanks for the heads up on Chicken breast !! I've been looking for a cheap price and it doesn't get much better than $1.99 lb !! I went a little nuts and got $228 of chicken for $70 ... 35 lbs !! Holy crap !! And it was my first price match for meat at Walmart ! I've been reluctant about PM'ng meat cuz I wasn't sure if it would be an issue and it wasn't !!

One happy guy !!!

I haven't tried PMing at my Walmart yet, but I made a list this weekend for the sales that are ending soon, in case I decide to try it and also to help me know in future weeks whether certain sales are good or not. I just went through the flyers on this website to make this list, so this assumes the flyers linked on the Flyer section are accurate (http://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/). This chart was in Excel, so it is lined up a bit funny, but all seems to match up across. I also didn't check to see whether any of these flyers are easily printable, or if they are online... haven't gotten that far yet, just made a list. Hope this helps someone out there. I also don't have a SuperCentre near me, so I only listed things that it is possible my local store might carry.

Ideas for organizing thread -

1. List all commonly purchased items in their departments in the PRODUCT column. All one million items do not need to be listed today - just continue to add products weekly as sales happen.

2. If there is an advertised sale price on BD Cheese, add the PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV info to the chart. Link FLYER so that we can print it for price matching.

3. If someone finds a better advertised price for the identical product and sales date, their flyer KNOCKS OUT the original one.

4. If someone finds a better advertised price for the identical product with a different sales date, their flyer is added beneath the original one.

5. If an advertised sale price is not found for a product, the PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV columns remain empty.

6. When sale ends delete its PRICE / SALES DATE / FLYER LINK / PROV info from the chart. Never delete PRODUCT / SIZE info from the chart

dariusz8, how do you feel about changing the layout of the wiki to this suggestion? I think there's a wealth of information here but it is difficult to sort through and find the deals. Thinking if we all worked on it and had it organized by product it might help. Thoughts? And thank you for your hard work on this thread!
