Does anyone have word yet on SDM GC bonus points?

One question: Say I want to buy $450 in gift cards. In order to maximize the points, do I have to split it into 3 separate purchases of $150 each?

Yes- and if it's like previous years each transaction needs to include at least 2 cards totalling $150, I believe.

That will depend on your local store, some prohibit it due to high GC fraud in their area (and some may not take credit cards for the same reason)

My SDM lets us use CCs (or they did in pervious years) so using an SDM CC would maximize those points.

If the promo is the same as last year, 150$ GC for 8000pts, this would mean you are getting 80$ worth of optimum pts back?

8000pts is only equal to $10 at regular redemption level, around $18.50 if redeemed when 95,000=$220

Was deciding on whether or not to wait for this promo to buy gas cards for the year, went ahead and bought Canadian Tire gift cards instead from this week's sobeys 750 point bonus for each $50 card. Based on the redemption ratio for free groceries, it was almost equivalent to the top redemption tier at sdm, plus I can redeem for free groceries in $50 increments instead of having to come up with ~$220 of things at sdm to redeem for at one time. No problems using Amex to pay for the GC either.
