However, Dr. Cohen explained that they had to biopsy the tumor twice: the first time, all they got was dead cells. He thinks that is because the tumour grew so big the blood supply feeding it is no longer sufficient and part of the tumour has died off. He thinks Ford's pain is due to the fact that the tumour is partially dead, necrotic tissue due to insufficient blood supply. Now they will do the two rounds of chemo over 6 weeks and see how much more of the tumour will die off. They will check by CT scan at that point.
I think it's good news that radiation and surgery are not on agenda yet...wouldn't it be great if chemo could take care of this thing. OTOH if the necrotic tumour tissue is already causing him this much pain...oh my, I really hope Ford does not have that rough a time.
So here's hoping things go well. I wonder if the Fords used Warmington to plant a rumour so when the truth came out, people said, hey that does not sound so bad. Honestly, today's news sounds so much better than what I expected.
