To be myself, and not pretend to be someone I'm not to impress someone else. It's not fun, easy or comfortable.

To stop being a 'people-pleaser' - glad I learned this early in my late teens.
Ridding myself of toxic friends - two in my mid-20s.
Took a while longer to do it from two toxic siblings, not cut-off, just a wary distance...

This one is easy.
People are going to say bad things about you whether you are nice to them or not so don't waste your time being nice to those kind of people. Get rid of them, fast.

One lesson that has always stuck with me is to not give in to peer pressure/bullying, but instead be strong and stand my ground because I was the one who had to live with my decisions.
The first time I learned that lesson was in one of the first years of elementary school when a bunch of the kids in my class threatened to not come to my birthday party if I invited one of the kids. My mom told me I had to make that decision to either hurt his feelings or find out who my real friends were and invite him. I made the decision to invite him and in the end they all showed up. That memory has stuck with me for a long time.

You can try and be nice to everyone, but one day you will get taken advantage of and it is hard to stop that cycle once you start it with someone who is using you.
We don't need to be rich, don't need to be famous just to have a good time!

Have trust in yourself before anyone or anything; NEVER ignore that "voice" in your head or that feeling you get inside - trust your instincts!

I learned to be the opposite of people who were abusive, rude or bullies towards me. I told myself I will never be like that, became head strong, and thankfully the complete opposite.

You don't really regret the things you tried and failed at...
You regret the things you did NOT try.
