Walmart Price Match Change! I was told no more nation-wide price matching! :'(

So I haven't logged into SC for..like 2 years, but I had to go back on to make this post!


I was price matching at Walmart today with online ads from competitors all over Canada, and at the end of my transaction a CSM had to be called to oversee something. She tells me and the cashier that a new policy change is being enforced where they are only matching LOCAL ads (again) This was being enforced at the beginning of December of this year. Gah! This is really going to shake up the way I purchase groceries..especially produce and meats She said the cashier should have known this (my cashier later told me that no one said anything to her)

Have any of you other SCers heard of this policy change??

I also heard that it was because a bunch of people had edited an ad for a PS4 to $100..which is an unreal deal that I suppose they got away with..
