So funny you posted this today! I wish you had been my cashier the other day. I was at my regular store and it was pretty quiet. When I was ready to check out, the one general lane had 3 full carts. Usually the express girl will call me over and put me through even though I have a couple/few more items than 15. They are really good that way.
Well this time it was a new cashier and there was nobody at all in the express. I had little things like 1 carrot, 3 potatoes, 2 pks meat, 3 canned goods, a loaf a bread (making a tiny stew, lol). Not many over the limit. This cashier berated me 3 times before the transaction was finished. "Looks you got more than 15 eh?" " Guess you had more than you thought, eh" and finally while paying a lady comes up behind me to use the lane. Then the cashier really played it up for the third time. I left feeling humiliated and ticked off at the same time.

That's when you wish you had a rock in your pocket and you could pass it to her as she was walking away so she could go outside and scratch her butt on it......

MakaylaGreen, I think you're a real sweetheart for letting the customer in who had only 1 item over the limit. I tried this at my local loblaws recently, and the cashier was quite nasty when she denied me service. Honestly, from a consumer and fellow smartcanukster...."Thank you!"
(I will not go back to that Loblaws now, for sure. Took me awhile to lose that negativity.)
